a parisian scene

this is the cover to a jigsaw puzzle i used to work on as i was growing up. the square box doesn’t show it, but there are two large, leafy trees that flank the scene, a bicyclist in the foreground, & planter-box-lined window sills above the brasserie. other puzzles would come & go but this was the one i loved to return to, as one might return to a favorite book or film. the illustration is quite irresistible, no?
